Blogging And Journalism
2011

Can I pursue journalism with a blog?
I am 17 years and into my final year of high school. I decided I definitely want to pursue a major in journalism when I go to college, but for now I have no training or experience in journalism. I came up with the idea to start blogging about 2 to 3 items per day. It would be a good way to practice my writing skills while by building a portfolio when I apply for colleges and courses. Do you think it's a good idea? Any thoughts? And another thing is that I do not know Should I write. Articles that are current, relevant and well written are a must, but I need some sort of inspiration. If I just read the newspaper every morning and every kind of writing my versions or takes certain that my new look? Please if you have any tips or ideas here, please, help me.
Journalism is a broad word. I hope that when you pursue your career in journalism, you will focus more on what you want. for example, go to cnn.com or some sort of news website and find a subject, then write to subject. for inspiration, go to http://home.comcast.net/ ~ majerus-collins/homepage.htm is a journalism website news / written by strictly adolescents. it helped me a lot .. I want to talk .. I'm 17 too, and recently decided on college, I will attend, and what type of classes i want to take. they are all English / Journalism classes Standard .. So I think we have much in common! can you send me an email or something and tell me what you decide to do? caylacrews@yahoo.com
