Blogging Etiquette – Sourcing?

I submitted the URL of a famous blogger because I always knew he had information about the positions of aviation safety. He posted a link to the original article rather than my post on this blog (not surprisingly) but he did not credit by name in any way. Is it common when you find something to someone reference blog the source of origin without any credit to the person you found grace? Ex Blogging things you find on slashdot with no credit Slashdot?

yep should be given at least a little credit …
