Why not do my blog?

I am a bit new to blogging and I use Blogger.com. The models are based mainly when Compared to blogs created on LiveJournal and TypePad. Some of these sites look like web pages .. boring to watch. What's up? Here a example of what I speak. Why does this site look so busy (in a good way) and things worked on both sides, traffic, etc., http://www.elise.com/recipes/

In a word of blog services offer a subscription business, which in turn allows you many advanced features such as, sub-categories keywords, multiple sites, the visitor logs, back track, etc. The best way for you to know what works for your needs is deciding what you want your blog do for you. If it is a simple online newspaper or an informative site, Blogger will be fine. If you need the more advanced features, spend time on each site on the review features and prices.
